The Licensed Clinical Social Worker will take on a diverse array of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Conducting thorough psychosocial assessments through interviews, observations, and review of medical records to gain insights into the emotional, social, and environmental factors influencing students' recovery and academic performance.

• Providing empathetic counseling and support to students and their families, addressing adjustment issues related to their rehabilitation journey.

• Collaborating with the rehabilitation team to devise individualized treatment plans based on identified psychosocial needs, ensuring comprehensive support for each student.

• Assisting students in accessing essential community resources, such as support groups, vocational training, or housing assistance, reinforcing their pathways to success.

• Educating patients and their families about available community resources and services that can assist in post-rehabilitation transitions.

• Participating in discharge planning, which includes facilitating smooth transitions back to home or other care settings, while ensuring ongoing support for continuity of care.

This role is primarily focused on students in school settings, catering to a diverse range of ages and backgrounds. You will address various mental health needs, including anxiety, trauma recovery, and adjustment challenges, by utilizing tailored intervention strategies that resonate with the school environment.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required, demonstrating a solid academic foundation in clinical practice.

• An active state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory to ensure compliance with professional standards and best practices.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and healthcare team members.

• Experience in a rehabilitation, educational, or medical setting is highly preferred, as it reflects familiarity with the unique challenges faced by students in recovery.

• Understanding of adjustment issues, grief counseling, and coping mechanisms is crucial for adequately supporting the student population.
