Work Environment

This remote position offers you the flexibility to integrate work-life balance into your daily schedule. You will engage with clients primarily during standard business hours, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand the severity, frequency, and duration of clients’ mood disorder symptoms, ensuring thorough and accurate evaluations.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, addressing their specific needs and goals, and adjusting these plans as necessary based on monitored progress.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), providing clients with tools to manage their conditions effectively.
  • Educate and empower clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to foster resilience and recovery.
  • Engage in consistent monitoring of client progress, providing feedback and making necessary adjustments to enhance the effectiveness of the therapeutic approach.
  • Work in close collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated, holistic care for each client.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment updates in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities to sharpen clinical skills and stay informed about advancements in mood disorder treatment.
  • Act as an advocate for clients, promoting awareness and understanding of mood disorders while supporting their mental health journey.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Therapist at Countyside Psychiatric Services, you will work primarily with individuals facing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related challenges. You will be instrumental in providing them with compassionate, individualized care that addresses their emotional well-being, enabling them to lead fulfilling lives.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy is required.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Tennessee.
  • Proven expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities, specifically CBT and DBT, for mood disorders.
