Precise is currently looking for a Server/Cloud Administrator to maintain Microsoft-based web applications and Microsoft SQL Server databases on Virtual Machines in multiple hosting environments.  This position requires availability aligned with the Pacific Time Zone with a workday from 08:30 AM to 05:00 PM. This position may allow for remote work; however, employees must be able and willing to travel and provide in-office or on-site support as required by customer requirements, project demands, or business needs. 

Duties:

  • Perform deployments of software releases and data updates to Microsoft Windows servers.
  • Assist in the server administration of Microsoft Windows-based 2019+ servers in a DoD hosting environment.
  • Manage Microsoft SQL Server databases.
  • Troubleshoot, and assist in the resolution of system problems and issues in multiple hosting environments.
  • Coordinate with cloud and information assurance personnel to perform software updates, system changes, and security testing and scans.
  • Interact with a help desk team, cloud hosting technical teams, and developers to assist with problem-solving.
  • Administer policies and standards related to security and technical implementation guidance following government guidelines and requirements.
  • Maintain system documentation.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

Required Experience:

  • At least three (3) years of experience with Windows Server administration.
  • CompTIA Security +, or similar IAT Level II certification.
  • Windows OS or Azure Cloud certification.

Required Education:

  • BA/BS degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, business, or information systems or related field.

ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION:

  • A) An AS or AA degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, business, or information systems and three (3) years of overall experience plus the amount of detailed experience that matches the experience/training requirement for this position may be substituted for a BS or BA degree; OR
  • B) Eight (8) years of overall experiences plus the amount of detailed experience that matches the experience/training requirement for this position may be substituted for a BS or BA degree.

Desired Experience:

  •  Experience with Azure cloud administration.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems’ total compensation package.
