Job description

Huntington Learning Center is hiring math tutors to help students with ACT/SAT prep. Paid training provided. This position is great for graduate students, research scholars, and new or retired math teachers. THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION. A bachelor's degree is REQUIRED.

Requirements and Qualifications:
To ensure our students have a successful educational experience, our tutors must complete initial and ongoing training in Huntington's teaching methods and our highly developed curriculum. Our tutors must have scored at least 30 on the math sections of the ACT (or the SAT equivalent). If your scores are more than 5 years old, you may take a qualifying exam at our center.
Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.

Math Areas (candidates must be proficient in at least 4 of the following): 

  • Pre-Algebra.

  • Algebra I & II.

  • Geometry.

  • Trigonometry.

  • Pre-Calculus.

  • Calculus and college-level math.


There are no lesson plans to write or homework to grade. You’ll enhance your resume with highly respected experience while earning money in a flexible working environment.
Flexible Scheduling: Monday through Thursday 10:00 am - 8:00 pm, and Saturdays 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. 


Job Type: Part-time.


Pay: Starting at $18 per hour, commensurate with experience.
