The Pricing Senior Manager directs the administration and strategic planning, analysis, spreadsheet development, budget analysis, and proposal development of the corporate pricing organization. This is a remote position; a candidate local to an Amentum HQ facility (Chantilly, VA or Fort Worth, TX) or with the ability to travel is preferred. US citizenship is required.

Responsibilities:

(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract)

  • Oversees cost proposal development and pricing strategies for major and strategic proposals
  • Ensures compliance with the estimating system manual as well as other policies and procedures
  • Manages and integrates daily work assignments, develops project schedules, budgets, and plans, and manages personnel, finances, and facilities to achieve proposal objectives
  • Develops and implements new business capture/proposal strategies for achieving company new business objectives
  • Develops and executes business and proposal development objectives within established budgets to reach determined goals
  • Directs and manages people and financial resources to achieve company strategic and tactical new business objectives
  • Maintains a good working relationship with all Program/Project Managers and upper management to attain success objectives
  • This working manager position is expected to take on proposal efforts and have the capability to perform at the highest pricing analyst level

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Comprehensive understanding of proposal development and strategy that includes contract cost and pricing principles that translates efforts in acquiring new and follow-on business
  • Effective leadership, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to review and write pricing narrative responses
  • Extensive knowledge of Federal Acquisition regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
  • Working knowledge of U.S. Government structure and agency acquisition procedures and policies for identifying and developing potential business opportunities
  • Working knowledge of the components of basis of estimates and bills of materials
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities to produce a large volume of high-quality material with keen attention to detail. Must be able to work extended hours, often with short notice, to meet deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel and mathematical skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline; two (2) years' experience in contracts or pricing may be substituted for each year of the four (4) years of college
  • Twelve (12) years' experience in cost proposal preparation or cost proposal development; relevant finance experience may be considered for some years in lieu of cost proposal preparation and development; 8 years' experience with a Master's degree.
  • Five (5) years in a management position preferred
  • Experience in base operations support, range operations, Space Force, NASA contracts
  • US Citizenship is required to apply

  • Travel may be required to HQ facilities, 10-20%

Compensation Details:

$150k - $185k
