YOUR ROLE
The Asset Projection Team holds primary responsibility for scenario generation and asset projections within the Economic Scenario Generator (ESG) and Moody’s Axis platforms. You will deliver scenarios and asset projections to support both product lines and corporate requirements on a monthly and quarterly basis. Additionally, you will implement modifications to scenario generation and asset projection processes that align with corporate objectives and contribute to achieving the organization’s strategic vision.


What you will be doing

This role reports to the asset projection leader. Main responsibilities include:

  • Deliver monthly and quarterly scenarios and asset projections, ensuring timely completion within reporting cycles
    • Communicate progress effectively with stakeholders
    • Organize and join planning sessions to map out timelines and deliverables
  • Support the asset projection leader and maintain expertise in scenario and asset models, including limitations
    • Use knowledge of assets, ESG, AXIS, and insurance assets and insurance products to research, test, validate, and recommend scenario and asset projection improvements
    • Ensure all changes are accurate, efficient, and align with desired structures
    • Stay updated on new features in AXIS and ESG
    • Mentor junior team members as they learn key systems and products if needed
  • Perform updates and ad hoc analyses for scenario generation and asset projections as needed
  • Adhere to Genworth actuarial and model governance policies
  • Contribute to product line and corporate initiatives

What you bring 

  • BA/BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related field
  • ASA Designation
  • 3+ years in actuarial or asset roles
  • Skilled in actuarial asset projections and GGY AXIS Software (including Datalink)
  • Experience with Life insurance, Annuity, and Long-Term Care products, and Assets
  • Team player
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to manage multiple deadlines
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills

Nice to have

  • Programming in Python, Visual Basic, SQL, or MATLAB
  • Understanding cash flow testing reporting
  • Model conversion experience

For the State of New York: The base salary pay range for this role starts at a minimum rate of $91,200 up to the maximum of $168,700.  In addition to your base salary, you will also be eligible to participate in an incentive plan. The incentive plan is based on performance and the target earning opportunity is 15% of your base compensation.  The final determination on base pay for this position will be based on multiple factors at the time of this job posting including but not limited to geographic location, experience, and qualifications to ensure pay equity within the organization.
