Insightful Journeys Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Adolescent Mental Health Therapist, specifically licensed as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW, to join our dynamic team in Jersey City, New Jersey. This role is designed for a remote work setting that allows for flexibility while promoting a strong sense of teamwork through regular virtual meetings and collaborative sessions. You will connect with other professionals dedicated to child and adolescent psychiatry and participate in case discussions that elevate the standard of care we provide. Our outpatient office in Jersey City serves as a hub for organization and oversight, with a focus on holistic approaches to mental health.

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents, identifying their unique emotional and psychological needs.
• Collaborate with families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with the young clients' developmental stages and family dynamics.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and play therapy to effectively address issues like anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.
• Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower parents and caregivers in establishing supportive home environments.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention support and guidance during mental health emergencies.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, resources, and treatment options, fostering informed decision-making.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal standards and ethical guidelines, ensuring appropriate follow-up and care continuity.
• Actively engage in weekly team meetings, case consultations, and training sessions aimed at continuous professional growth and skill enhancement.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and clinical practices in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry to enhance service delivery.

Our focus is primarily on children and adolescents facing a range of mental health issues, from anxiety and depression to more complex behavioral disorders. Our therapists play a critical role in addressing not just the symptoms but also the broader context of each client's life, including familial and social elements that contribute to their mental health challenges. • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.
• Proven knowledge of common child and adolescent mental health disorders, therapeutic modalities, and treatment protocols.
• Prior experience delivering both individual and family therapy to children and adolescents, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based practices.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and client-centered approach.
• Ability to establish rapport quickly with children, adolescents, and families, fostering a safe therapeutic environment.
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and proficiency in digital communication tools.
• Team-oriented mindset with the capability to collaborate with various health professionals.

• A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health counseling role, particularly with a focus on child and adolescent populations.
• Experience with crisis intervention strategies specific to the youth demographic.
• Familiarity with community resources and support networks for families in need of additional assistance.

This position offers an annual salary range of USD 80,000 to 105,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, we provide a generous sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
