Insightful Journeys Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Adolescent Mental Health Therapist, specifically licensed as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW, to join our dynamic team in Jersey City, New Jersey. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents, identifying their unique emotional and psychological needs.
  • Collaborate with families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with the young clients' developmental stages and family dynamics.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and play therapy to effectively address issues like anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.
  • Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower parents and caregivers in establishing supportive home environments.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention support and guidance during mental health emergencies.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, resources, and treatment options, fostering informed decision-making.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal standards and ethical guidelines, ensuring appropriate follow-up and care continuity.
  • Actively engage in weekly team meetings, case consultations, and training sessions aimed at continuous professional growth and skill enhancement.
  • Stay abreast of the latest research and clinical practices in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry to enhance service delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.
  • Proven knowledge of common child and adolescent mental health disorders, therapeutic modalities, and treatment protocols.
  • Prior experience delivering both individual and family therapy to children and adolescents, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based practices.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers an annual salary range of USD 80,000 to 105,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, we provide a generous sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
