This role plays a critical part in partnering with the Direct Mail Marketing Manager to bring marketing strategies, campaign concepts, and brand messaging to life through clear, compelling copy that drives response.
While direct mail will be a primary focus, this position supports a variety of Business Development marketing materials including letters, postcards, brochures, landing pages, email campaigns, realtor marketing materials, sales collateral, and brand messaging frameworks.
This role is ideal for a copywriter who understands buyer psychology, can write in multiple brand voices, and knows how to turn operational details into messaging that feels personal, tangible, and persuasive.
Requirements
Duties & Responsibilities:
Copywriting & Content Creation
  • Write compelling direct mail letters, postcards, brochures, landing pages, email campaigns, and sales collateral designed to generate homeowner leads and inquiries.
  • Translate business objectives, differentiators, and homeowner pain points into copy that resonates emotionally and drives action.
  • Develop headlines, calls-to-action, campaign messaging, and envelope taglines that align with project objectives.
  • Write copy that fits within established design layouts, character limits, and space constraints without sacrificing clarity or effectiveness.
  • Adapt messaging for different audiences, property types, and markets while maintaining strong direct-response principles.
  • Support production timelines by making efficient copy edits and revisions directly within Canva design files.
  • Leverage AI tools, including ChatGPT and Claude, to support research, drafting, and editing.
  • Build and maintain messaging libraries containing approved headlines, value propositions, calls-to-action, offers, testimonials, and brand-specific talking points.

Brand Voice & Messaging
  • Learn and maintain the unique voice, positioning, and messaging of multiple vacation rental brands.
  • Develop new brand voices, messaging frameworks, and supporting brand messaging for newly acquired or emerging brands.
  • Ensure consistency across each brand's homeowner-facing marketing materials.

Campaign Strategy Support
  • Partner with the Direct Mail Marketing Manager to bring campaign strategy and messaging direction to life through strong copy.
  • Review creative briefs, offers, market insights, and supporting materials to understand the campaign angle and strengthen the message.
  • Contribute headline options, messaging recommendations, and creative ideas that align with the overall strategy.
  • Understand how visual hierarchy, layout, and readability impact marketing performance.
  • Collaborate with marketing, business development, and design teams to support campaign objectives.

Research & Audience Understanding
  • Develop a deep understanding of vacation rental homeowners, their motivations, concerns, and decision-making process.
  • Research markets, competitors, and industry trends to support messaging development.
  • Identify common homeowner pain points and opportunities to create more relevant and persuasive marketing.

Creative Collaboration
  • Work closely with designers to ensure copy and visual elements support one another.
  • Participate in creative reviews and brainstorming sessions.
  • Accept and incorporate feedback to continuously improve copy quality and effectiveness.

Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of copywriting, content marketing, direct-response marketing, or related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Advertising, or a related field preferred, but not required.
  • Experience writing for multiple audiences, brands, or industries.
  • Experience in direct mail or multi-brand marketing environments is a plus.
  • Vacation rental, real estate, hospitality, or property management experience is helpful but not required.
  • Portfolio of relevant writing samples required.

Desired Skills:
