Job description

About the Role

ChurnZero is hiring a Marketing Operations Specialist to build and manage the campaigns, workflows, and data operations that keep our revenue marketing engine running smoothly. This role sits at the heart of the marketing team's execution — you'll own the day-to-day work that turns marketing strategy into systems, segments, and actionable signals.

You'll partner with our Director of Revenue Marketing and work alongside a senior MarOps strategist who provides mentorship, coaching, and guidance on architecture decisions as you grow into the role. The right candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and energized by complex stacks — you like figuring out why something isn't working as much as you like building something new.

Job Title: Marketing Operations Specialist
Classification: Full-time, Exempt
Reports to: Director of Revenue Marketing
Location: Remote / Hybrid (Washington, DC or East Coast preferred)
Target Salary Range: $75,000 – $95,000

What You'll OwnWorkflow Execution
  • Build, test, and ship HubSpot workflows for campaigns, lifecycle stages, lead routing, personas, and scoring
  • Configure and maintain lead capture forms, email nurtures, and other automation programs end-to-end
  • Troubleshoot workflow issues, validate enrollment logic, and keep automation clean
Lifecycle & Campaign Operations
  • Coordinate end-to-end campaign builds across email, paid, web, and partner channels
  • Pull lists, build segments, manage campaign tracking, and own pre-launch QA
  • Maintain campaign taxonomy, naming conventions, and tagging consistency
  • Build and maintain email nurture programs, webinar workflows, lifecycle stage progression rules, and lead routing
  • Run regular audits on lifecycle health, suppression logic, and email deliverability
  • Partner with Comms and Demand Gen on cross-channel program execution
Website Operations
  • Build and update website pages to support campaigns, launches, and lifecycle programs
  • Monitor technical SEO health: page speed, broken links, metadata, schema, redirects, and crawl errors
  • Partner with Revenue Marketing and Comms on landing pages and campaign-specific web assets
  • Coordinate with internal web owners or external partners on larger site changes
Data Ops & Reporting
  • Maintain HubSpot? Salesforce sync hygiene in partnership with Revenue Operations, including field mappings, contact ownership, and account ownership rules
  • Build dashboards in HubSpot, Salesforce, and Looker Studio that surface campaign performance, funnel metrics, and pipeline contribution
  • Keep CRM data clean: deduping, hard bounces, opt-out compliance, attribution stamping
Process & Documentation
  • Document workflows, naming conventions, and process changes
  • Maintain a living source-of-truth for marketing ops processes
  • Build playbooks for recurring campaign types (webinars, nurtures, events)
Current Tech Stack

You'll work in an existing stack: Salesforce, HubSpot, Chili Piper, ZoomInfo, G2, PathFactory, Allego, SEMrush, and Claude. Hands-on experience with HubSpot and Salesforce — or close equivalents — is a strong plus.

What You'll Bring
  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience in marketing operations, lifecycle marketing, or marketing automation
  • HubSpot familiarity: comfortable building workflows, lists, segments, lifecycle stages, and lead scoring models
  • Working familiarity with a website CMS (HubSpot CMS, WordPress, or similar) and basic technical SEO concepts: page structure, metadata, redirects, crawlability
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce: contact/account/opportunity structure, campaigns, basic admin
  • Strong attention to detail — you catch broken UTMs, mismatched field values, and quiet workflow failures before they become problems
  • Comfort working across multiple tools and tracing data flow between systems
  • A bias toward documentation and process — you build for the next person, not just for yourself
  • Curiosity about AI tooling and how it changes day-to-day marketing ops
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Chili Piper, ZoomInfo, PathFactory, or Allego
  • B2B SaaS background (especially CS/CX or martech)
  • Familiarity with Survey Motion or similar engagement tools
  • Basic HTML/CSS for email template QA
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools to reduce manual lift or speed up reporting
Why This Role

This isn't pure execution work. You'll join a team that takes marketing operations seriously enough to invest in real mentorship — pairing your day-to-day builds with senior strategic guidance so you grow into the architecture, attribution, and automation thinking that pulls the function forward. ChurnZero's stack is complex, the work is hands-on, and the runway to grow into deeper ownership is meaningful.
