The Tetra Tech team based in Madison, WI, works primarily in the energy sector, providing research design, data collection, and analysis services that enable their clients to make business-critical decisions using high-quality and unbiased data. The position is dedicated to research interviewing and survey data collection, with no sales responsibilities. Candidates should live within a reasonable travel distance of the Madison, WI office.


Your Role
Contact people by telephone, ask questions provided via a script, and record responses
Interviews will be conducted with household members and commercial businesses that involve interviewing a manager or department representative
Perform database or computer tasks in support of research surveys, such as conducting address or telephone number lookups using online resources


Qualifications

  • Strong verbal communication skills are required
  • Ability to record data accurately is critical
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to feel comfortable contacting individuals to participate in a research study
  • Ability to communicate in a friendly demeanor and build trust with study participants
  • Basic computer literacy skills
  • Proficiency with the basic operations of a personal computer, Windows, and Microsoft Office programs
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams is helpful
  • Depending on the particular study, this position may require evening shifts

  • This is a remote position
  • Hours are assigned on a project-by-project basis. Work is not guaranteed once studies are complete.


Physical Demands

  • Constantly operates a computer, telephone, and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer monitor, computer mouse, and calculator
  • Able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

  • Reliable high-speed internet connection
  • Capability to place phone calls over the internet, including an appropriate headset
  • Private, quiet workspace
  • We will provide a laptop to use for work purposes which will need to be returned upon end of employment
