Job Title: Senior Specailist, Supply Chain Management (Supplier Development)- Remote

Job Description:

Candidate will work with suppliers to ensure access to and alignment on technical data requirements and specifications with members from engineering, quality and other functional experts to enable the supplier to become qualified in manufacturing products for defense programs.  Candidate will be exposed to and need to understand basic technical and manufacturing requirements, such as reading drawings, understanding specifications, and collaborating engineers and technology experts to create action plans and projects to successfully on-board the supplier. This opporunity requires 50% travel to supplier site location(s).

Essential Functions:

  • Travel 50% to supplier location(s) (could be some international travel as needed).
  • Collaborate with suppliers on new product development and technological innovations.
  • Oversee supplier development of manufacturing baseline documentation, and align planning with Project Engineering, Quality and other functions as necessary.
  • Ensure timeliness of technical/manufacturing Q&A between supplier and COEs, to include drawing, specification, statement of work, and other requirements package documentation.
  • Author and/or review inputs to supplier validation/qualification statement of works for new processes.
  • Encourage suppliers to propose innovative solutions that can enhance products or processes.
  • Align with engineering and strategy department personnel to promote and align internal research & development (IR&D) projects.
  • Generate weekly status reports to management and engineering.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant supplier development experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related supplier development experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related supplier development experience. 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Master degree or focus in supply chain.
  • Work in manufacturing environment using basic technical skills such as drawing reviews, standard operating procedure development and/or equipment usage.
  • Computer skills, especially Microsoft Office products, as well as MRP/ERP system knowledge.
  • Organizational skills and ability to multi-task project actions
  • Ability to lead meetings and develop presentation packages and business case analysis for review with business leaders.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $84,000 - $156,000. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is $73,500 - $135,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
