Job Title: Budget Analyst

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid – 2 Days Onsite / 3 Days Remote)
Job Type: 5-Month Contract (Potential Extension)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 40 Hours/Week
Pay: $25.00–$26.44/hr (W2)

Job Description

We are seeking a Budget Analyst to support budgeting, financial reporting, and fiscal operations for a government agency. The ideal candidate will have experience with budget planning, financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Monitor expenditures, revenues, and budget performance.
  • Support budget planning, financial reporting, and contract administration.
  • Perform financial analysis and maintain accurate budget records.
  • Assist with audits, financial reconciliations, and compliance activities.
  • Collaborate with internal departments on budgeting and fiscal planning.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and other financial tools to analyze and present data.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience in budgeting, financial analysis, or accounting.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access.
