What You Will Do:

Our Backend team is packed with experienced developers who are amazing, and we guarantee that you will grow as a result of working directly with them. We use leading edge technologies to innovate highly-concurrent, Java-based server applications that directly impact ecobee's success.You may work on deploying applications within ecobee's infrastructure as well as AWS and Google Cloud Platform.

  • Get hands-on with development of production features along with the rest of your team.
  • Participate in planning, scoping, and creating specification for these productionfeatures.
  • Learn about performance testing, unit testing, and debugging of critical high-volume systems.
  • Work with best of breed backend technologies and techniques.
  • Be mentored by senior software developers.

Who Are You?

  • A current Computer Science, Software, Computer or Electrical Engineering student.
  • Proficient at writing software in at least one of: Java, Kotlin, Go; and eager to learn more.
  • Good at getting your code to run on Linux-based systems.
  • Eager to improve your software craft.
  • Curious, thoughtful, and practical!
  • Would like to make a difference in an intellectual and planet-positive environment.
