Daikin Applied is hiring an HVAC Product Manager! In this exciting position, you will plan, organize, and control an assigned HVAC product line. You will drive your product from conceptual stages through product life cycles tooptimizeprofit and meet marketing, financial, and corporate growthobjectives. In this heavily cross-functional position, you will serve as the key point of contact to partners from across the organization including engineering, finance, sales, and supply chain. Location:Plymouth, MN (Not eligible for remote work - must be able to commute to Plymouth, MN)

What you will do:

  • Develop and recommend product line objectives, including sales volume and profit forecasts
  • Direct market development, sales promotion, distribution and pricing policies
  • Analyze market trends and potential
  • Prepares sales forecasts for use in planning manufacturing operations and controlling inventories
  • Recommend modifications of assigned product or products
  • Maintain contacts with distribution centers and important customers to follow up promotion efforts
  • Maintain contact with the sales force to monitor trends and keep informed of sales force needs
  • Develop methods for field testing merchandising programs to determine public acceptance
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of promotions and advertising programs, and recommends improvements or changes
  • Review complaints and suggestions relative to assigned product or products
  • Participate in the preparation of advertising programs for the assigned product or products and supervise market research
  • Develops and recommends new product concepts
  • Coordinate departmental activities with other departments, such as engineering and manufacturing, to ensure synergism of objectives
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 4+ Years of professional work experience in a product management-related role (NOTE: Not seeking IT or Data Product experience)
  • Live within commuting distance from Plymouth, MN
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Highly preferring industry knowledge in any of these: commercial or applied rooftops, condensing units, semi-custom or custom air handlers

The typical pay rate for the position ranges from $90,000 - $171,700 plus 10-15% bonus in Minnesota.
