This position operates within a remote outpatient office setting, offering you the flexibility to provide care from a home office while ensuring you stay integrated with our clinical team. We value work-life balance, offering a structured schedule of Monday to Friday, 9 am - 5 pm, with occasional evening or weekend hours as needed to meet client demands.

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans that address individual client needs, integrating both pre-crisis and crisis intervention strategies as required.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress in compliance with all regulatory standards, using integrated clinical systems for efficiency.
• Utilize evidence-based screening tools and assessment methodologies to identify mental health conditions and formulate appropriate responses.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement positive behavior support plans tailored to the needs of geriatric clients.
• Participate actively in licensing and accreditation processes, ensuring our clinic meets all necessary criteria to deliver high-quality care.
• Serve as a key liaison with various service systems, state agencies, and community partners, fostering collaboration to enhance referral networks and support services.
• Establish effective communication systems to provide timely information and updates to meet contract standards and promote the organization’s mission.
• Build and sustain relationships with local, state, federal, and private sector organizations to strengthen program visibility and identify new partnerships.
• Engage in continuous professional development by attending relevant conferences, training, and meetings, staying informed of the latest trends in geriatric mental health.
• Promote and embody the agency's mission, values, and principles within your work and interactions with clients and colleagues.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director, reflecting a willingness to contribute to the overall success of the clinic.

This role focuses primarily on the geriatric population, working with seniors who are navigating significant life transitions, dealing with loss, or experiencing age-related mental health issues. Your expertise will cater to individuals facing challenges such as grief, cognitive decline, and adaptations to physical health changes. By employing a holistic approach to mental health care, you will contribute to improved patient outcomes and enhanced quality of life for our clients.

• A Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• A valid and active Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.
• A minimum of four years of recent experience specifically working with geriatric clients, providing mental health support.
• Additional specialization or training in geriatric mental health and aging issues is highly desirable.

• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based counseling techniques and assessment tools.
• Experience in interdisciplinary team collaboration, enhancing treatment outcomes through cooperative strategies.
• Familiarity with documentation requirements for regulatory compliance and quality assurance.
