Job description

PrepScholar is looking for talented online tutors to teach the SAT and ACT to students all over the US and the world. If you're an experienced and engaging teacher who has mastered these tests and has at least 20 hours per week to offer, we want you.
We're Looking For:
+ 99%ile SAT or ACT score. Ideally you scored 2300+/1540+ on the SAT and/or 34+ on the ACT. You know the test inside and out.
+ Degree from a highly selective undergraduate or graduate institution. (Current undergraduates can apply, but you are expected to have consistent schedule openings.)
+ Great teaching skills. You understand how to identify weak points in a student's thinking and customize your instruction accordingly. You know how to break down tough questions into easy-to-grasp concepts. You can easily engage and build rapport with students.
+ Serious commitment and reliability. You take great pride in your work and never phone it in. You always pull through and deliver. You're rarely the one late to a meeting.
+ At least 20 hours of availability every week. We're looking for tutors who have 20-40 hours a week to work with students.
Why Join Us:
+ Flexible Hours: We know you're busy. As a PrepScholar tutor, you'll have the flexibility to decide how much you want to work, from 20 hours up to 40 hours or more.
+ Flexible Location: This position is fully remote. All teaching will be done online via Zoom or Skype, with students across the country. Enjoy the flexibility of teaching anywhere that's convenient for you.
+ Great Pay: At PrepScholar, we believe that our tutoring is only as good as the teacher. We reward great teaching with great pay and routinely give bonus rates for great teaching. Rates start at $40/hour and go up to $60/hour or more.
+ Minimize Prep and Admin Time: Each of your students will study with our online prep product, which includes a bank of over 7000 questions. There's no need to prepare your own materials.
+ Improve Your Teaching: We're passionate about getting our students results and that means investing in high-quality teaching. We'll guide you through our teaching philosophies and mentor you to become the best teacher you can be.
How to Apply
To become a PrepScholar tutor, apply here with your cover letter, resume, SAT/ACT scores and any other standardized test scores (e.g. GRE, GMAT, LSAT). Please include a screenshot of your online score report for verification.
