Senior Program Specialist

The Senior Program Specialist, Whole Homes, is a key contributor to the success of Whole Home Energy Assessment and Solutions programs. Working closely with the Senior Program Manager, this role supports the day-to-day operations, management, and execution of programs, with a primary focus on Whole Home Energy Solutions. Responsibilities span multiple initiatives, including Whole Home Energy Assessment, Whole Home Energy Solutions, Building Decarbonization, and Multifamily programs, ensuring alignment with program goals and regulatory compliance.

This role plays an integral part in managing the full lifecycle of Whole Home programs, including contractor engagement and oversight, performance tracking and reporting, QA/QC processes, and stakeholder communications. The Senior Program Specialist helps ensure that program measures-ranging from direct installation to comprehensive energy-saving solutions-are effectively implemented and meet established standards.

Serving as a liaison between internal teams, trade allies, and clients, the Senior Program Specialist fosters collaboration, maintains clear communication, and keeps projects progressing efficiently. In addition to coordination efforts, this role supports data analysis, identifies operational challenges, and contributes to process improvements that enhance program performance and customer satisfaction.

Success in this position requires strong project coordination skills, a solid understanding of residential energy efficiency practices, and a commitment to program growth and continuous improvement by supporting operational excellence and partnering with the Senior Program Manager, the Senior Program Specialist helps drive meaningful outcomes and achieve program objectives.

What you will be doing:
  • Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the Whole Homes Program; including Whole Home Energy Assessment, Whole Home Energy Solutions and integration of Building Decarbonization.
  • Support the implementation of Building Decarbonization into the Whole Home Energy Solutions workstreams to meet production goals.
  • Take the lead on the Multifamily program as needed (includes program management, invoicing, reporting).
  • Tasks include, but are not limited to: OBR approvals, customer complaint reviews, QA/QC monitoring.
  • Monitor customer feedback and complaint tracker, driving timely resolution and maintaining a positive customer experience.
  • Track project progress, address service interruptions promptly, and ensure contractors respond within required timelines.
  • Collaborate with contractors and other stakeholders to promote program awareness and drive participation.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for contractors and field teams, resolving operational issues and facilitating clear communication.
  • Prepare and deliver reports for internal and external stakeholders, including summaries of production progress and recommendations for improvement.
  • Participate in technical training sessions and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend process enhancements to improve turnaround time and service quality.
  • Support quality assurance protocols and ensure adherence to BPI standards for energy efficiency retrofit.
What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):
  • Bachelor's degree in energy management, engineering, environmental science, public administration, or related field (one year of experience can be substituted for one year of education).
  • 5+ years of experience in program coordination, preferably in energy efficiency or housing services.

There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$89,261.00 - $151,744.00
