Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented, data-savvy Materials Support Specialist to join our Sustainment and Support team. This role is critical to maintaining our Turnaround Time (TAT) requirements and ensuring the smooth logistical flow of aircraft parts. You will be responsible for the daily execution of quotes, database reconciliation, and supplier dashboard management within the MMAPS project and SAP environment.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations:

  • Quote Management: Proactively process quotes to meet strict turn-around time targets.
  • Data Integration: Execute morning uploads and ensure data consistency across multiple internal databases.
  • SAP Actions: Perform routine SAP transactions, including PO reconciliation and status updates.
  • Warehouse Liaison: Research and resolve discrepancies in warehouse data to ensure parts are moving accurately through the system.

Weekly and Monthly Maintenance:

  • Inventory Control: Process scrap updates and clear lingering items in SAP.
  • Forecasting: Support the Rotable Business Unit forecast to align part availability with future demand.
  • Performance Tracking: Manage and update Supplier Dashboards (Part 1 & 2) to maintain high-quality vendor standards.

Regulatory and Urgency Tasks:

  • Customs Compliance: Expedite customs requests to prevent shipping delays for international logistics.
  • Surplus Requests: Process ad-hoc surplus requests as required by the mission.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced experience with Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables) and the ability to navigate complex databases.
  • ERP Experience: Prior experience with SAP or a similar Material Management and Parts System is highly preferred.
  • SQL Experience: Practical knowledge and skills using Structured Query Language to manage data bases and write queries for data retrieval, updates and database management tasks preferred.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for identifying data inconsistencies that others might miss.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to work independently to research and resolve issues without constant supervision.
