Job description

As the Manager, Global Logistics and Compliance, you will be responsible for overseeing the global logistics operations, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and optimizing the supply chain process. This role will manage a team of logistics professionals, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and work closely with external partners to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of products. This role requires a strong background in global logistics, compliance, and supply chain management, with the ability to drive process improvements and ensure adherence to local and interna

What You Will Do: 

  • Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification for products in development and provide guidance.
  • Monitor industry news for tariffs, trade agreements.
  • Import Compliance Manual development/monitor/make applicable changes to current practices.
  • Review and determine import/export requirements for business segment initiatives.
  • Compliance/SOP manuals/monitoring.
  • ACE/CARM knowledge and reporting/monitoring.
  • Customs compliance training matters providing a culture of integrity and ethical behavior.
  • Manage internal HTS database.
  • Assisting with trade documentation compliance.
  • Work cross functionality with other departments (Product Development, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Shipping, Warehousing) to inform, train, enforce, and monitor compliance related matters. 
  • Manage relations with ocean carriers, air forwarders, dray carriers, freight forwarders and customs brokers in matters relating to compliance.
  • Manage contractual obligations and SOP between customs brokers/Jazwares.
  • Continual process improvement, cost savings, best practices.
  • Process development and improvement including customs documentation and reporting. Provide interpretation of company policies and procedures, work instructions to all Jazwares entities.
  • Support investigations related to the team, including proactively identifying compliance gaps and required corrective actions.
  • Raise awareness of general export/import control issues for the site through focused communications and training efforts.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business or other relevant field is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in global logistics, supply chain management, and compliance.
  • Experience with the ACE platform.
  • Certification in Customs Brokerage required.
  • Certification in International Compliance required.
  • Importing compliance certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs requirements, and compliance best practices.
  • Proven experience in managing complex global logistics operations
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to effectively oversee multiple projects and tasks at once
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and tools, such as TMS, WMS, and ERP systems.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.

The base salary may vary based on experience, role tenure, performance, industry, and location. Eligibility for the annual performance incentive may apply. Jazwares is a multi-state employer, so the salary range may not apply to other states.

Our work environment provides a flexible work schedule that includes a Monday through Thursday on-site, with an optional WFH on Fridays, up to 20 workdays fully remote each year, and Time Off for vacation and sick leave.  Through Jazwares Cares, you will have the opportunity to volunteer for up to 16 hours a year on community service projects.
