The role often requires language proficiency, cultural knowledge, and familiarity with localization tools. Remote localization specialists collaborate with teams worldwide to create seamless, localized user experiences.

To excel in Remote Localization, you need strong linguistic proficiency in at least two languages, a deep understanding of cultural nuances, and experience in adapting content for global audiences. Familiarity with CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools, translation management systems, and industry-standard localization platforms is often required, along with certifications such as ATA or ISO 17100 being advantageous. Many organizations provide structured onboarding and offer ongoing support to help remote localizers integrate seamlessly with the team.
