The Project Manager role at JMT Consulting is responsible for ensuring high quality, timely, and efficient delivery of software implementations and related projects to JMT's nonprofit client. these projects primarily consist of implementations of mid-market ERP, CRM, and CPM solutions, and will follow a consistent methodology. The project manager works with solution architects, implementers, technical consultants, and other project staff to ensure that resources are aligned, tasks are completed timely, project communication is flawless, and all project goals are met on time and in budget. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a portfolio of projects simultaneously.


Responsibilities:

โ— Project Delivery: Partner with Professional Services teams to deliver high- quality, timely ERP/CRM/FP&A implementations with an emphasis on creating an extraordinary client experience.

โ— Portfolio Management: Efficiently manage a portfolio of active client implementations and add-on projects simultaneously, effectively prioritizing resources and balancing workloads.

โ— Project Planning & Scoping: Work alongside JMT technical teams and client stakeholders (often CFOs and Finance Directors) to develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive project plans.

โ— Resource Coordination: Align cross-functional internal resources and client teams to ensure technical milestones, data migrations, and training goals are met.

โ— Risk & Change Management: Proactively identify project bottlenecks, financial system alignment issues, or scope creep. Manage the change control process and escalate risks to JMT management as needed.

โ— Methodology & Documentation: Maintain meticulous project documentation and contribute to refining JMTโ€™s proven implementation and project management methodology.


Ideal qualifications & skills:

โ— Experience: 5+ years of professional project management experience, ideally within a technology consulting firm or professional services environment.

โ— Financial Tech Savvy: Proven experience managing implementations of mid-market financial management/ERP software (e.g., Sage Intacct, CommunityBrands, MIP, NetSuite) or CPM/budgeting tools is highly preferred.

โ— Domain Knowledge: A strong understanding of core financial concepts (General Ledger, accounts payable/receivable, budgeting) or prior experience working with nonprofit finance is a major plus.

โ— Tools: Mastery of modern PM collaboration tools (Smartsheet preferred) and proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace.

โ— Certifications: PMP Certification (or active progress toward certification) is highly desirable. Certifications in Change Management (e.g., PROSCI, CCMP) are a significant plus.

โ— Soft Skills: Exceptional client-facing communication skills with the ability to translate technical and financial jargon into clear, actionable project steps for non-technical stakeholders.

โ— Education: Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.


Base Salary: $80,000-$95,000
