Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Mental Health Counselor, you will play a vital role in the lives of your clients through:

• Individual Counseling: Conducting video sessions with clients to explore their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. You will provide evidence-based treatment and therapeutic interventions tailored to individual needs.
• Client Advocacy: Supporting clients in articulating their goals and helping them navigate their mental health journeys. Building rapport and trust is essential in guiding them toward self-discovery and understanding.
• Assessment and Treatment Planning: Evaluating clients’ mental health conditions and formulating personalized treatment plans based on your professional judgment and clinical experience.
• Continuous Support: Being an accessible source of support for clients through regular follow-ups and adjustment of treatment plans as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Omni Family Mental and Wellness Center, you will primarily work with stable adults who have low acuity issues. All clients are thoroughly screened prior to service booking, ensuring that you engage with individuals who are ready and able to benefit from counseling. We also prioritize matching you with clients whose needs align with your specialties, allowing you to utilize your strengths effectively.

Qualifications

To join our team, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Educational Requirements: A Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Licensing: Candidates must possess a valid and active license, fully licensed and in good standing, allowing independent practice without supervision. Acceptable licenses include LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW. Please note that provisional or limited licenses are not applicable for this role.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills are vital, as is a compassionate demeanor when dealing with clients’ sensitive issues.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, prior experience working in a telehealth environment or experience with solution-focused therapies is highly desirable. Familiarity with technology is also beneficial, as you will be using a dedicated counselor dashboard for managing client interactions.
