Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Riley Mental and Wellness Center, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting individual mental health counseling sessions ethically and compassionately via video chat.
• Utilizing solution-focused treatment modalities tailored to the unique needs of each client.
• Crafting detailed and individualized treatment plans that align with clients' specific goals.
• Facilitating insightful discussions that help clients understand their emotions, experiences, and relationships.
• Regularly monitoring client progress throughout their treatment journey and adjusting plans as necessary.
• Assisting clients in developing healthy coping mechanisms to enhance their overall quality of life.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your client base will primarily consist of stable, low-acuity adults presenting a variety of mental health challenges. The focus is on empowering individuals to cultivate the skills required for improved mental wellness. Your proactive approach will contribute to significant outcomes in their mental and emotional health.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in a counseling-related discipline such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• A current, state-issued license to independently practice mental health counseling. Please specify in your application if you hold any of the following credentials:
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)
• No limited or provisional licenses; candidates must have no history of disciplinary actions.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a capacity for empathy.
• Proficiency in using technology, including familiarity with video conferencing tools.
• A reliable computer with webcam functionality and a strong internet connection for virtual sessions.

Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health counseling, with demonstrated capabilities in providing effective solutions through therapy. Experience working in diverse and community-based settings is favorable, bringing a rich understanding of varied client needs.

Compensation and Benefits

The role offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 – 104,000 annually, commensurate with your hours worked and expertise. Additionally, successful applicants will receive a sign-on bonus, a monthly stipend for full-time healthcare expenses, and direct deposit on a weekly basis to ensure financial convenience and support.
