This is a fully remote position, enabling you to engage with clients from the comfort of your own home. Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting one-on-one counseling sessions with clients via secure video chat platforms, providing tailored strategies to address their mental health needs.
• Encouraging clients to explore their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors, facilitating self-discovery and fostering healthier relationships.
• Acting as an advocate for clients by helping them define and achieve their personal treatment goals.
• Evaluating clients’ mental health conditions and creating personalized treatment plans using evidence-based practices, integrating your clinical expertise.
• Maintaining thorough and accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your clients will consist primarily of stable adults exhibiting low acuity mental health issues. Our comprehensive screening process ensures that each individual who books an appointment with you is matched according to your specialties and demographic preferences. This thoughtful approach allows you to create therapeutic relationships within a manageable and effective caseload, without the stress of working with severely ill patients.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess the following credentials:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• A current, unrestricted license to practice in your state (LMHC, LMFT, or LICSW) without supervision. Please provide your licensed state in your application.
• Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards clients to support their healing journeys.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities to effectively manage caseloads and documentation duties.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience working with diverse populations, substance use disorders, or crisis management can enhance your effectiveness in this role. Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), is beneficial in supporting a broad spectrum of client needs.
