Job description

Equivity is seeking an experienced Florida Paralegal with at least 3 years of Florida law firm experience to provide remote legal support to attorneys handling civil litigation, family law, personal injury, probate, and related matters.
This is a long-term remote opportunity for a highly organized professional who enjoys managing multiple cases and supporting attorneys in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence
  • Prepare and e-file documents in Florida state courts
  • Organize case files and maintain supporting documentation
  • Assist with discovery, document review, and case preparation
  • Track deadlines and maintain case calendars
  • Support trial preparation, including exhibits, binders, and witness materials
  • Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and third parties
  • Adapt to different attorney workflows and case management systems
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in a Florida law firm
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience in litigation, family law, personal injury, probate, or similar practice areas
  • Available at least 20 hours/week to start
  • Knowledge of Florida court rules and e-filing
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience with Clio or similar software is a plus
