• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of symptoms related to mood disorders in clients.
• Collaboratively develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect each client’s unique needs, goals, and preferences.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate healing and positive change.
• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to promote mental wellness.
• Monitor client progress regularly, documenting treatment outcomes and adapting strategies based on evolving client needs.
• Engage in integrated treatment approaches by collaborating with psychiatrists, social workers, and other health care professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Stay informed about the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatments to enhance therapeutic practices.
• Manage sensitive client information accurately and ethically, adhering to all legal and confidentiality standards.
• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your skills.
• Advocate for clients by addressing mental health stigma and ensuring appropriate resources are available to meet their diverse needs.

You will primarily work with clients struggling with mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Our clients often come from various backgrounds, including vulnerable populations such as homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. This role demands empathy, understanding, and a proactive approach in addressing the complex emotional and psychological needs of these individuals.

• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and therapeutic relationship-building skills to foster trust and collaboration with clients.
• Ability to approach therapy with empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental attitude towards clients' experiences.
• Strong organizational and time-management capabilities to ensure efficient handling of caseloads and administrative responsibilities.

• Experience in group therapy settings or working with communities facing systemic issues related to mental health.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and their application in therapy.
• Prior experience in providing support for clients with co-occurring disorders is a plus.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and digital therapy tools to enhance client engagement.

• Annual salary range of $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
