• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments utilizing interviews, clinical observations, and medical record reviews to evaluate emotional, social, and environmental factors affecting patient recovery.
• Provide empathetic counseling and continuous support to patients and their families, helping them navigate adjustment challenges and enhance emotional well-being.
• Collaborate closely with occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech-language pathologists to create tailored treatment plans that address psychosocial needs alongside physical rehabilitation goals.
• Assist patients in accessing essential community resources, such as support groups and vocational rehabilitation services, to facilitate the transition to independent living.
• Educate and involve families regarding available community resources and suitable post-rehabilitation services that can aid in sustained recovery.
• Participate effectively in discharge planning, ensuring transitions to home or alternative care settings are seamless and carefully thought out.

Our client base is diverse, comprising individuals recovering from acute medical conditions, including neurological disorders, spinal cord injuries, strokes, and those undergoing orthopedic surgeries. The role of the LCSW is pivotal in supporting these individuals, focusing on their emotional health and social rehabilitation needs to foster resilience and discover pathways to reintegration into their communities.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills, establishing rapport and trust with patients and families.
• Sound understanding of adjustment issues, grief, and coping mechanisms relevant to recovery.

• Previous experience within a rehabilitation or medical setting is preferred, providing insights into the unique challenges faced by patients in recovery.
• Familiarity with community resources and support networks that can assist patients in their rehabilitation journey.

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 75,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
