The Optum Bank Treasury Implementation Lead oversees the design, implementation, and integration of treasury capabilities within the Optum Bank core banking platform. This role partners closely with Treasury, Technology, and external vendors-including Finxact, Savana, and payment processors-to enable seamless connectivity across upstream and downstream systems, support real-time event-driven processes, and ensure operational readiness.

The position is accountable for end-to-end delivery, including API integrations, architecture alignment, and production readiness across treasury payment functions such as ACH, wires, reconciliation, and liquidity management.

This role offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. For employees based in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. metropolitan areas, in-office presence is required at least four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end implementation efforts across scoping, planning, design, configuration, testing, and production deployment
  • Partner with product, technology, and operations teams to define business requirements, workflows, and configuration specifications that support treasury capabilities
  • Analyze, design, and document API integrations and technical requirements to enable seamless data exchange and system interoperability
  • Advise stakeholders and implementation partners on treasury management requirements, best practices, and solution alignment to support successful delivery outcomes
  • Coordinate across cross-functional teams, including technical, functional, and external partner resources, to ensure timely execution of project deliverables
  • Communicate project status, timelines, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders, ensuring transparency, alignment, and proactive issue resolution throughout the implementation lifecycle

Required Qualifications:

  • 4 years of experience in implementation, project delivery, or business systems roles
  • Experience in financial services, banking, or treasury-related environments
  • Proven exposure to API-based integrations or system connectivity efforts
  • Proven ability to manage client-facing implementations or onboarding workflows
  • Proven solid communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to business users
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with core banking platforms (e.g., Finxact preferred)
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments (product, engineering, operations)
  • Knowledge of treasury operations, payments, or cash management
  • Familiarity with Fiserv, modern banking APIs, or BaaS environments
  • Background in implementation consulting, onboarding, or client integration roles

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 - $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
