The Role: Administrator, Configuration Management

You will help keep Switch’s servers and endpoints secure, consistent, and reliable. You will manage configuration, patching, and compliance across Windows, Linux, macOS, and managed devices. You will independently resolve complex configuration and endpoint management issues while reducing operational and security risk. You will also share technical knowledge that helps the team resolve issues consistently.

What You’ll Do

  • Automate repeatable configuration, patching, and endpoint management tasks.
  • Monitor configuration compliance and resolve drift or control gaps.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across configuration, patching, and device management tools.
  • Document procedures, access controls, configurations, and operating standards.
  • Prioritize assigned requests, meet due dates, and communicate status clearly.
  • Share technical knowledge with Service Desk staff to reduce repeat escalations.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for escalated incidents.
What We’re Looking For
  • You work independently on complex technical issues and know when to escalate.
  • You use sound judgment when balancing security, system stability, and service continuity.
  • You communicate technical information clearly and include the details others need to make decisions.
  • You follow through on commitments and keep affected teams informed.
  • You identify practical solutions instead of stopping at the problem.
  • You share knowledge and support teammates when your experience can help.
What You’ll Bring

Required

  • 4+ years of relevant systems administration, endpoint management, or configuration management experience.
  • Hands-on experience administering Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune, Jamf Pro, or another enterprise device management platform.
  • Experience with Active Directory and Azure AD.
  • Experience with system patching, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening.
  • Experience automating repeatable operational tasks.
  • Familiarity with configuration management and package management tools.
  • Experience using ticketing systems and working within established IT service processes.

Preferred

  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Intune, Teams, or SharePoint Online.
  • Experience managing Windows, macOS, and Linux endpoints.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting platforms.
  • Experience supporting security or compliance controls.
  • Microsoft, Jamf, CompTIA, or ITIL certifications.

If your experience aligns with the role but you do not meet every preferred qualification, we encourage you to apply.
