Job Description
The CIT Networking program at CSN provides instruction in network routing-switching, Microsoft, Linux, and Cloud technologies. We are particularly interested in candidates that can teach entry-level networking, cloud, and Linux courses. This individual will be primarily responsible for teaching courses in subject matter pertaining to information technology infrastructure and technical support.
A successful candidate does not need to be qualified to teach all of the above listed courses.
Assigned courses, days, times and/or locations may vary from semester to semester.
Assignments may be any combination of classroom and online modes.
Assignments may be located on any combination of CSN's several campuses.
Assignments may be any combination of any days of the week including weekends.
Assignments may be any combination of courses for which instructor is qualified.
Teaching assignments may include one or more courses that prepare student for certifications such as:
Comptia A+ Network+
Cisco Certified Network Associate - CCNA
Microsoft 365 and Azure courses
AWS Cloud courses
Linux
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree from a regionally accredited college or university with an information technology emphasis.
1 year experience teaching technical courses.
2 years experience providing technical support in the networking or IT support role.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with a major, minor, or advanced degree from a regionally accredited college or university with technical emphasis such as IT, IS, CS, EE, etc.
Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce.
Certifications earned within the past five years including Comptia A+, Network+, Linux+, AWS, Microsoft Azure, RHCSA Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator, Cisco CCNA, Quality Matters APPQMR certification.
Experience using the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS).
Starting Salary range
$925.00 Per Instructional Unit/Credit
