Job Summary:

We're looking for a Full Stack LAMP Developer to design, build, and maintain web
applications and websites across the entire stack. You'll work with Linux, Apache, MySQL,
and PHP to deliver reliable, performant features and web properties, collaborating closely
with product, design, and other engineers to take ideas from concept to production.

Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain server-side application logic in PHP, along with the front-end interfaces that consume it.
  • Design, query, and optimize MySQL databases, including schema design, indexing, and performance tuning.
  • Configure and manage Apache (or Nginx) on Linux servers, including virtual hosts, rewrites, and SSL.
  • Build responsive, accessible front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Develop and maintain websites and web properties, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and responsive design across devices.
  • Write clean, testable, well-documented code and participate in code reviews.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across the stack in development and production.
  • Integrate third-party APIs such as Zapier, CyberSource, FedEx, Avatax.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, scope, and ship features.
  • Contribute to deployment, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance of applications.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in PHP, including modern practices.
  • Solid experience with MySQL, including writing efficient queries, designing schemas, and optimizing performance.
  • Comfortable navigating Linux environments, including SSH, command line scripts, and cron jobs.
  • Proficiency in front-end fundamentals including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one modern framework or library.
  • Proficiency with Bootstrap 5 for responsive layouts and UI components.
  • Experience with DataTables for building interactive, sortable, and searchable data tables.
  • Experience building and maintaining websites, including responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Basic understanding of web design principles such as layout, typography, color, and visual hierarchy, along with working familiarity with Adobe Photoshop.
  • Experience with version control using Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Understanding of web security best practices including input validation, SQL injection prevention, XSS, and CSRF.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Experience with a front-end framework such as Vue, React, or Angular.
