Lighthouse Psychiatry Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time capacity. • Conduct culturally sensitive and comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate clients' needs and formulate effective treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies, adapting your approach based on individual client backgrounds and preferences.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions that focus on promoting mental health resilience and recovery.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
• Provide crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing acute mental health challenges or emergencies.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, available resources, and treatment options tailored to their specific contexts.
• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of all counseling sessions and client interactions, in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
• Engage in team meetings, case discussions, and cultural competency training to enhance collaborative practices and stay informed on best practices.
• Stay updated on advancements in mental health research, treatment trends, and cultural sensitivities in practice.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
• Active licensure as a LPC, LMFT, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
• Strong commitment to providing culturally competent care and addressing the diverse needs of our clients.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients remotely.

• Prior experience in a telehealth setting is highly desired.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to diverse populations.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver mental health services.
• Proficiency in crisis intervention strategies and trauma-informed care is a plus.
