• Conduct comprehensive, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to gain a thorough understanding of each patient’s unique experiences.
• Develop tailored treatment plans that utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions specifically designed to meet the individual needs of patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, helping clients to navigate their mental health challenges and fostering resilience and recovery.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and case managers to coordinate a holistic approach to treatment, ensuring all aspects of patient care align effectively.
• Provide crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, ensuring immediate and appropriate responses to acute needs.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources to promote informed decision-making.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of therapy sessions and assessments, adhering strictly to legal and ethical standards to ensure confidentiality.
• Engage in regular case conferences, team meetings, and participate in ongoing cultural competency training to enhance professional expertise.
• Stay current with the latest research, best practice methodologies, and cultural considerations affecting mental health treatment.

Your work will primarily involve serving a diverse clientele that includes individuals from underrepresented ethnic backgrounds, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and immigrants seeking mental health support. This focus demands both empathy and an understanding of the unique challenges faced by these groups, allowing you to adjust your therapeutic approaches accordingly.

• A Bachelor's or higher degree in relevant fields such as Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology.
• Current licensure as a mental health counselor or therapist in the state of Arizona.
• A profound commitment to delivering culturally competent care and a genuine interest in working with diverse populations.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that foster healthy relationships with clients and team members.

• Experience in a community health clinic, particularly in roles serving multicultural clients.
• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care.
• Experience with telehealth platforms and remote therapy sessions, providing care via digital means effectively.
