Job description

Marketing Manager, Hereditary Cancer

About the Role

The Marketing Manager, Hereditary Cancer is a customer marketing role responsible for leading downstream strategy and in-market activation for Myriad's Hereditary Cancer portfolio focused on affected patients with an expert audience focus. This role is accountable for engaging genetic experts across the full marketing funnel-awareness, education/nurture, and conversion-through both personal and non-personal promotion, driving adoption, utilization, and sustained growth.
Success in this role requires a marketer who can operate at both the strategic and executional levels, overseeing downstream strategy while driving rigorous execution in a highly regulated, competitive diagnostics environment.

This role focuses on translating defined positioning, value propositions, and clinical evidence into integrated downstream marketing programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive downstream marketing strategy and activation for the genetics expert customer segment, with a focus on MyRisk and RiskScore products. Accountability for portfolio-aligned engagement, including readiness planning for upcoming launches and future expansions.

  • Collaborate on and translate defined positioning, messaging frameworks, and value propositions into downstream creative, collateral, and campaigns across owned, earned, and paid channels.

  • Lead development and execution of integrated downstream marketing plans that span the full funnel, including awareness, education/nurture, and conversion for both personal and non-personal promotion.

  • Lead development and execution of launch timelines, milestones, and commercial readiness plans.

  • Optimize downstream execution based on field feedback, performance metrics, and market dynamics.

Field Enablement & Commercial Readiness

  • Partner closely with cross functional teams in Marketing, Product, Sales, Corp Comms, and Medical Affairs to ensure field readiness and effective adoption.

  • Lead development of sales tools, training materials, and customer-facing assets that clearly communicate the clinical utility of Myriad's product portfolio.

  • Ensure field-facing messaging supports integrated selling motions and reflects how Myriad's diagnostics work together to support genetic experts and their patients.

  • Establish feedback loops with field teams to continuously improve downstream materials and messaging.

Funnel Performance, Insights & Optimization

  • Gather and synthesize customer insights, competitive intelligence, and market trends within genetic expert practices to inform downstream strategy & activation.

  • Track performance of downstream marketing initiatives across channels and funnel stages, contributing to KPI reporting and continuous optimization.

  • Apply insights to refine messaging, channel mix, sequencing, and execution strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Orchestration

  • Partner with Marketing & Product to ensure downstream execution aligns with upstream strategy & product pipeline while reflecting real-world customer needs.

  • Serve as the downstream integrator for hereditary cancer marketing for expert audiences, coordinating cross-functional teams, agencies, and internal centers of excellence to deliver flawless, timely, and cohesive execution.

  • Influence cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment and timely delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, life sciences, biology, business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • 5-7+ years of experience in healthcare, diagnostics, life sciences, or pharmaceutical marketing.

  • Demonstrated experience launching healthcare products with accountability for downstream marketing execution.

  • Experience in genetics/genomics, oncology, or diagnostics industry strongly preferred.

  • Proven ability to translate complex clinical and scientific concepts into clear, compelling marketing materials.

  • Experience working cross-functionally in a regulated healthcare environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong execution mindset with the ability to operationalize strategy while maintaining a holistic view of the urology customer journey.

  • Excellent project management, communication, and influencing skills.

  • Analytical mindset with experience using data to guide decisions.

Travel & Work Environment

Remote role with approximately 15-25% travel expected, including internal meetings and major genetics-focused conferences.
