Job description

Licensing Specialist
Are you highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple tasks and priorities?
Are you interested in building experience in licensing, content operations, compliance, or partnerships?
Location: Remote (Washington, DC metro area preferred but open to fully remote)
About the Role
The Licensing Specialist is a hands-on, junior administrative role within the LexisNexis Content Licensing & Planning team. The role plays an important part in keeping day-to-day licensing and planning activities running smoothly, with responsibilities that include reporting, recordkeeping, compliance support, content set-up, and responding to internal questions about licensed content. It offers the opportunity to build experience across a wide range of licensing and operational activities while working with internal stakeholders and external partners. This role is well suited to someone who is structured, detail-oriented, comfortable with both technology and people, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
About the Team
The Licensing Specialist joins a collaborative, detail-oriented team that works closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to support content and data licensing across LexisNexis. The team plays an important role in supporting product, commercial, and operational activity by helping ensure licensed content is well governed, well maintained, and ready to support customer workflows and business needs. Team members value accuracy, teamwork, and clear communication, and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that balances operational delivery with strong customer and stakeholder support.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the licensing and planning team
  • Prepare spreadsheets and reports for internal and external audiences
  • Assist in our compliance function, which helps ensure licensed content is managed in accordance with contracts and policies
  • Help maintain backend system settings and coding so the right content gets to the right customers
  • Maintain internal records and reference materials related to licensed content
  • Help sales, marketing, customer service, and other teams answer questions about content
  • Provide general administrative support and assist with additional team priorities as needed

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent career experience)
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. In the 3rd paragraph of your cover letter, briefly explain what attracts you to this position.
  • Fluent in English. Other languages a plus.

Preferred Experience:
  • Internship or work experience in licensing support, content operations, vendor management, compliance operations, or contract administration
  • Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce or Enterprise AI
  • Interest in developing experience in licensing, partnerships, or content operations
