Work you'll do/Responsibilities
As a Consultant at Deloitte, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of high-volume backend systems that support critical banking operations. Design and Execute Test Strategies

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance .NET backend batch processing services for core banking operations.
  • Develop and enhance batch processors such as SCBatchProcessor, FeeProcessor, OverdraftEligibilityProcessor, and SCCEStatementProcessor.
  • Design and optimize SQL Server stored procedures using staging tables, keyset pagination, and batch processing patterns to efficiently process millions of customer records.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues involving SQL performance, data processing failures, parameter overflow exceptions, vendor connectivity issues, and ActiveBatch job scheduling failures.
  • Monitor batch job execution, application health, and SLA compliance using Datadog logs, APM traces, dashboards, and custom alerts.
  • Perform code reviews and collaborate with architects and development teams to design scalable, maintainable, and compliance-driven backend solutions.

  • Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of overall software development experience required
  • 5 years of hands-on development experience with .NET or .NET Core.
  • 2+ years of programming experience with C#.
  • 1+ year of experience building and working with Web APIs.
  • 2+ years of experience working with SQL Server, with a strong ability to troubleshoot/debug existing stored procedures and indexes.
  • 2+ years of proven hands-on experience focused specifically on Middle Layer & Backend development.
  • Strong experience using Entity Framework and LINQ.
  • Familiarity with RabbitMQ or other message broker/queueing mechanisms.
  • Experience writing Unit Tests (including writing mocks).
  • Solid understanding of basic software Design Patterns.5+ years in API Testing: BigTable, ISO 20000, Selenium, Splunk, SWIFT
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
