• Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to identify the emotional and psychological needs of patients, developing tailored treatment plans based on individual evaluations.
• Provide short-term individual counseling and crisis intervention, effectively managing crises and collaborating with patients to explore their challenges and develop coping strategies.
• Facilitate therapy groups and workshops focused on personal development, stress management, and coping mechanisms, fostering an engaging and supportive group dynamic.
• Collaborate closely with medical professionals and support staff to ensure a comprehensive and holistic approach to patient care, enhancing communication across departments for coordinated treatment efforts.
• Launch and participate in outreach initiatives aimed at increasing community awareness of mental health issues, conducting workshops and webinars focused on mental health literacy.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records, adhering to ethical and legal standards, while also utilizing practice management software for efficient caseload tracking.

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will work with a diverse clientele at the community health clinic, including individuals from various socioeconomic backgrounds, age groups, and cultural contexts. This role is essential to assessing and addressing the specific mental health needs of patients, ensuring they receive the support necessary for optimal recovery and improved quality of life.

• Current state license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist is mandatory.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required; a Master's or Doctoral degree is highly preferred, reflecting advanced expertise.
• Demonstrable understanding of relevant mental health challenges facing community clinic patients, along with evidence-based practices for effective treatment.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to connect effectively with patients and work collaboratively with medical professionals in a multi-disciplinary setting.
• Proficiency in brief therapy models and a strong desire to adapt approaches based on the specific needs of patients.
• A capacity to thrive in a fast-paced remote environment, managing a diverse caseload with efficiency and compassion.

• Experience working in a community health setting or similar environment is highly beneficial.
• Previous involvement in teletherapy or virtual counseling modalities is preferred.
