This position is primarily performed onsite at Wright-Patterson AFB. Remote or telework may only be considered as a contingency if a qualified onsite candidate cannot be sourced, after at least 30 days of documented recruitment/retention efforts, submission of a mitigation plan, and prior written Contracting Officer approval. Any approved remote arrangement may be revoked.

The Neurologist will also assist with literature reviews, professional discussions, research planning, presentations, and other activities supporting the aeromedical mission while maintaining appropriate protections for HIPAA- and IRB-sensitive information.

  • Must be a fully licensed Neurologist.
  • Must hold current American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) board certification in Neurology.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience.
  • Must maintain a permanent, full, and unrestricted medical license in a U.S. state or jurisdiction.
  • Must satisfy applicable Wright-Patterson AFB Medical Group credentialing and privileging requirements.
  • Must satisfy applicable The Joint Commission (TJC), MAJCOM Headquarters, and Headquarters U.S. Air Force credentialing/accreditation requirements.
  • Must have experience working with U.S. Air Force, aviation, or special-duty personnel, or possess at least one (1) year of aeromedical neurology or equivalent occupational-health experience.
  • Must possess strong clinical judgment and independent consultation skills.
  • Must be able to conduct detailed neurologic medical-record and chart reviews.
  • Must be able to analyze and summarize complex clinical information.
