Job description

Position Overview

Gotham Enterprises Ltd is actively seeking a fully licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dedicated team in a school counseling center. This full-time, remote position offers an exciting opportunity to support students’ mental health and well-being while providing vital therapeutic services that align with their academic and personal growth.

About the Organization

At Gotham Enterprises Ltd, we prioritize the mental health of our students, fostering an environment where they can flourish both academically and personally. Our experienced team of licensed therapists is committed to delivering comprehensive mental health services tailored to the unique needs of our student population. We believe that a strong foundation of mental well-being enhances overall student success, and we strive to create a supportive atmosphere where everyone feels empowered to seek help.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, utilizing telehealth platforms to provide counseling services. The virtual environment allows for a flexible schedule while maintaining regular business hours, with occasional evening availability to accommodate student needs. Our commitment to technology ensures that you have access to state-of-the-art tools and resources, ensuring high-quality care continues seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and screenings for students seeking mental health services, identifying specific needs and appropriate treatment interventions.
  • Provide focused, short-term individual counseling sessions, employing evidence-based techniques to support students grappling with a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, and adjustment challenges.
  • Facilitate engaging therapy groups and dynamic workshops that address themes critical to student well-being, such as stress management, resilience building, and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborate effectively with campus partners, including academic advisors, residential life staff, and student organizations, creating a holistic support system for students.
  • Actively participate in outreach initiatives and mental health awareness campaigns, engaging the community in wellness events and educational programs.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential records of all client interactions, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal guidelines pertinent to mental health services.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is on a diverse population of students seeking support within a school setting. This unique demographic comes with specific stressors, including academic pressures, transition-related challenges, and social dynamics that can impact mental health. You will play a pivotal role in creating an inclusive and safe space within our virtual counseling center, empowering students to address these concerns with confidence.

Qualifications
  • Valid and active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • A master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the unique mental health challenges faced by college students, combined with empathy and a genuine desire to help.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that enable effective connections with students and collaboration with a diverse array of campus staff.
  • Thorough knowledge of evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities relevant to the university counseling center context.
  • Ability to effectively manage a diverse caseload in a fast-paced, remote setting, adapting to the unique challenges of telehealth service delivery.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a school or university counseling setting, ideally with familiarity in crisis intervention and group therapy facilitation.
  • Proven ability to implement mental health programs and outreach initiatives within a school community.
  • Prior involvement in research or publication within the context of college counseling or mental health practices is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive salary range starting at $70,000 and going up to $104,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and generous paid time off to promote work-life balance.
  • Access to ongoing professional development opportunities, including workshops, training, and resources for continuing education to enhance your skills.
  • A vibrant and supportive work culture characterized by collaboration and shared goals, enabling all team members to thrive.
  • Opportunity to engage in research and publication collaborations, elevating your professional profile within the field of college counseling.
  • Access to university resources, including online libraries, wellness resources, and participation in cultural events to enrich your professional life.
Career Growth Opportunities

Joining our team at Gotham Enterprises Ltd means embracing a role with significant potential for professional growth. As you develop your skills and expertise in the field of mental health counseling, you'll find ample opportunities for advancement within our organization. We emphasize mentorship and support, encouraging your career trajectory through engagement with leadership in the field.
