Core Healing Counseling is seeking a dedicated and licensed mental health professional to fill the role of Mental Health Counselor. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to evaluate patients' mental health needs, utilizing clinical interviews, standardized tools, and behavioral observations to inform your treatment proposals.
• Provide individualized counseling sessions and crisis intervention support, enabling patients to navigate their challenges and improve mental health outcomes.
• Facilitate engaging therapy groups and workshops focused on personal development, coping strategies, and mental wellness, fostering peer support and community engagement among participants.
• Collaborate regularly with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, ensuring a holistic approach to each patient's care.
• Participate in community outreach programs and preventative mental health initiatives, enhancing awareness about mental health issues and promoting wellness resources within the community.
• Maintain meticulous records to uphold ethical and legal standards, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with health regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will be adept at working with a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other emotional or behavioral issues. Understanding the unique challenges faced by patients in a healthcare environment is essential, as many are navigating complex healthcare needs alongside their mental health concerns.

Qualifications

• A valid state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required to meet licensure specifications.
• A demonstrated ability to engage with patients compassionately and effectively, addressing their unique mental health challenges.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills that facilitate collaboration with a diverse medical team and serve to build trusting relationships with patients.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices and short-term therapy models suited for a clinical setting.
• An ability to thrive in a high-volume, dynamic environment while efficiently managing a variety of patient cases.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of clinical experience providing counseling services in a healthcare, community, or clinical counseling setting.
• Experience working in a team-oriented environment with a focus on patient-centered care.
• Familiarity with digital counseling platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems is advantageous.
