RemotePharmacist, Licensed (Medical Information Specialist)

A frontline specialist responsible for delivering virtual or telephonic support toidentifiedclientsengaging customers, patients, and/or healthcare professionals, in a robust clinical dialogue. The specialist serves as a primary resource to provide drug/medical deviceproduct. The Medical Information Specialist (licensed)isafully remoterole and will be reporting to the Call Center Supervisor, Medical Information.

What will you be doing?

  • Completely and accurately document all Medical Information Requests, Adverse Events and Product Quality Complaints in compliance with Inizio Engage, Client and Federal guidelines and regulations

  • Conduct study compliance calls to volunteers enrolled in clinical/medical research trials

  • Enrollparticipants in educational seminars

  • Provide patient support to patients enrolled in Patient Support Programs

  • Collect demographic data and disposition for product,sampleand literature fulfillment

  • Maintain excellent quality and productivity standards for all client programs; adhere to program scripts and guidelines

  • Accurately collect information required by individual programs and correctlycapturein specific program databases

  • Exhibit effective communication and tele-management skills

  • Converse with callers in an empathetic manner andfacilitatethe callers in their ability to understand medical terminology, as needed

  • Display flexibility within department to maximizeutilization, including performing administrative and non-telecommunication duties as needed

  • Adhere to all company policies and Standard Operating Procedures

  • Must safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality by following the guidelinesset forth inthe Privacy and Security Rules of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)

  • Update andsubmitresume upon requests for audits

What do you need for this position?

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)

  • Valid pharmacist license in the province of practice

  • Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills

  • Available for rotating shiftsMonday - Fridaybetween 8 am EST and 8 pm EST

  • Computer literacy and adept at all applicable computer software, i.e., Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.

  • Ability to join frequent meetings and calls without disruption or disconnecting

  • Competency with Call Center Telephone Technology

  • Pleasant telephone manners

  • Ability to work both independently and within a group setting

  • Results oriented, excellent organizational skills and ability to work cross-functionally

  • Organizational skills, including working on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong problem-solving skills

The salary range for the Medical Information Specialist (licensed) is between $90,000-$100,000 CAD.

  • Documenter de maniere complete et precise toutes les demandes d'informations medicales, les evenements indesirables et les plaintes relatives a la qualite desproduits, conformement aux directives et reglementations d'Inizio Engage, du client et du gouvernement federal

  • Effectuer des appels de conformite a l'etude aupres des personnes volontaires participant a des essais cliniques/medicaux

  • Inscrire les participants a des seminaires educatifs

  • Fournir un soutien aux patients inscrits a des programmes d'aide aux patients

  • Recueillir des donnees demographiques et des informations sur la disposition des produits, des echantillons et de la documentation

  • Faire preuve de competences efficaces en matiere de communication et de gestion a distance

  • Communiquer avec les appelants de maniere empathique et les soutenir dans leur comprehension de la terminologie medicale, si necessaire

  • Faire preuve de flexibilite au sein du service afin d'optimiser l'utilisation des ressources, notamment en accomplissant des taches administratives et non liees aux telecommunications, si necessaire

  • Respecter toutes les politiques de l'entreprise et les procedures operationnelles standard

  • Proteger la vie privee et la confidentialite des patients en suivant les directives enoncees dans les regles de confidentialite et de securite de la loi sur la portabilite et la responsabilite en matiere d'assurance maladie (HIPAA)

  • Docteur en pharmacie (PharmD)
