This position requires a committed professional who possesses a valid state license as either a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). • Conduct comprehensive assessments and screening processes to identify the mental health needs of students and to develop customized treatment plans.
• Provide individual counseling sessions and crisis intervention to students facing emotional, behavioral, or psychological challenges, utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Facilitate therapeutic groups and workshops tailored to address relevant themes such as anxiety management, emotional regulation, and life skills development.
• Engage in cross-collaboration with school staff, healthcare professionals, and community organizations to coordinate student care and support networks.
• Design and implement outreach efforts and preventive mental health initiatives, contributing to a culture of awareness and understanding within school communities.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential records in compliance with both ethical standards and legal regulations, ensuring integrity in tracking student progress and outcomes.

This role focuses on a diverse student population, including those with varying degrees of mental health challenges such as anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. The therapist's work is pivotal in creating safe and supportive spaces for students to express themselves, learn coping skills, and pursue personal development.

• Possession of an active New York state license as either an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT.
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of mental health issues common in school-aged children and adolescents.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling efficient engagement with students and collaboration with educational staff.
• Proficiency in evidence-based practices and brief therapeutic models suited for academic settings.

• Annual salary ranges from $90,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
