• Conduct in-depth assessments and mental health screenings to accurately determine the needs of patients in the Detox Center, crafting tailored treatment plans.
• Offer short-term individual counseling sessions and crisis intervention services designed to support patients through immediate mental health challenges.
• Facilitate therapeutic group sessions and workshops focusing on addiction recovery, coping strategies, and personal development.
• Engage collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams within the clinic, including physicians, nurses, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive and continuous care.
• Participate in outreach initiatives that promote mental health literacy within the community, host wellness events, and develop partnerships with local organizations.
• Maintain detailed and confidential patient records in accordance with ethical guidelines, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other legal requirements.

This position primarily involves working with patients at varying levels of addiction, often experiencing accompanying mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. As a counselor, you will play a pivotal role in their recovery journey, fostering resilience and supporting them in achieving their mental health goals.

• Must possess an active state license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• Completion of a Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• A comprehensive understanding of the mental health challenges encountered by patients in a detox and recovery setting.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support, motivate, and engage a diverse clientele.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic practices, particularly those applicable in addiction recovery contexts.
• Ability to maintain composure and efficiency in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment while managing a diverse case load.

• Previous experience working with substance use disorders or in a detoxification setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated capability in crisis intervention and conflict resolution scenarios.
• Experience facilitating group therapy is a plus, particularly within detox or residential treatment contexts.
• Engagement in professional development activities, including workshops, trainings, or additional certifications related to mental health treatments.
