This role is set within a community health clinic that serves diverse populations in Athens and surrounding areas. As a remote position, you will interact with clients via telehealth platforms, ensuring that their counseling needs are met conveniently and comfortably from their chosen environments. Our team operates collaboratively, utilizing digital tools for efficient communication and record-keeping while embracing flexibility in scheduling.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to client needs.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, and psychodynamic therapy.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation while adhering to ethical and legal standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic client care and effective treatment outcomes.
• Stay updated on mental health trends, research, and advancements through continuous professional development opportunities and workshops.

The clients you will support may include individuals facing various mental health challenges, such as anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, substance misuse, and relationship issues. Your work will particularly benefit those who otherwise have limited access to quality mental health services, making your role pivotal in transforming lives within the community.

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia.
• A minimum of two years of relevant counseling experience, ideally in a clinical environment.
• Strong understanding of ethical and legal standards relevant to therapeutic practice.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from various backgrounds.
• Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems for documentation and treatment planning.

• Specialization or certification in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma therapy, or substance abuse counseling.
• Demonstrated experience working collaboratively within a healthcare team.

The salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 70,000 and $90,000 annually, depending on experience and caseload.
