Remote Legal Content Writer information

What is a remote legal content writer?

A Remote Legal Content Writer is a professional who creates legal-related articles, blog posts, case summaries, and other content for law firms, legal websites, or organizations, all while working from a remote location. They research complex legal topics and translate them into clear, accessible language for various audiences. This role often requires strong writing skills, legal research experience, and a good understanding of legal terminology and concepts. Remote Legal Content Writers may be lawyers, paralegals, or skilled writers with expertise in law, and they often collaborate with editors and legal professionals to ensure accuracy.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote legal content writer?

To thrive as a Remote Legal Content Writer, you need a solid understanding of legal concepts, excellent research abilities, and strong writing skills, often backed by a degree in law or related field. Familiarity with legal research tools (like Westlaw or LexisNexis), content management systems, and SEO best practices is typically required. Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and the ability to communicate complex legal topics in accessible language are standout soft skills. These competencies are crucial to producing accurate, authoritative content that meets client needs and complies with legal standards in a remote work environment.

How does a remote legal content writer typically collaborate with attorneys and subject matter experts while working off-site?

Remote Legal Content Writers frequently collaborate with attorneys and legal experts through virtual meetings, email, and project management platforms. While working off-site, clear and timely communication is crucial to accurately capture legal nuances and ensure content meets compliance standards. Writers often attend regular check-ins, review sessions, and feedback loops to align their work with evolving legal requirements. This collaborative approach allows remote writers to stay connected with the team and produce high-quality, authoritative legal content.

Job description

About the Role

We are looking for a PH-based Website Content Writer with excellent written English to rewrite approximately 20–30 existing blog posts that have been flagged by AI-content detection tools. The goal is to make each article sound natural, authentic, and genuinely human-written while preserving the original message, accuracy, and intent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Rewrite approximately 20–30 blog posts flagged as potentially AI-generated.
  • Improve sentence structure, flow, tone, readability, grammar, and word choice.
  • Preserve the original meaning and important information.
  • Identify and eliminate writing that sounds robotic, repetitive, generic, or AI-generated.
  • Thoroughly proofread all content before submission.
  • Use spell-check only as an editing aid.
Important Requirement: No AI Writing Tools

This is a human-writing role. The use of ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or any other AI tool to write, rewrite, paraphrase, or generate content is strictly prohibited.

All rewriting and editing must be done by the writer. Standard spell-check tools are permitted.

Candidates may be asked to submit writing samples as part of the hiring process.

After the 30 blogs have been rewritten, 2-4 blogs must be created per month.

Requirements
  • Excellent written English and strong command of grammar and vocabulary.
  • Experience writing, editing, or rewriting blogs, articles, or website content.
  • Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to make content sound natural and engaging without changing its original meaning.
  • Reliable internet connection and good communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
  Work Arrangement
  • Remote / Philippines-based
  • Flexible working hours
  • Must be available for periodic check-ins and responsive to team communication.
