About Our Client
Our client, a leading e-commerce platform, stands at the forefront of innovation, connecting businesses with unparalleled global opportunities. They are dedicated to simplifying complex processes and empowering sellers to expand their reach worldwide. This role is integral to a program designed to facilitate freight services for sellers importing goods to fulfillment centers, driving efficiency and growth across international markets.
About the Role
Step into a crucial role where your words will transform complex information into clear, actionable guidance. As a key member of a dynamic content team, you will be instrumental in educating sellers about international logistics programs and services, with a particular focus on ocean and air freight solutions. This part-time assignment, up to 20 hours per week, invites you to dive deep into intricate details, empowering sellers to navigate global trade with confidence and significantly impacting their success and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop clear, concise, and engaging educational content for sellers, including user guides, FAQs, and tutorials, to help them effectively understand and utilize international freight services.
  • Deeply understand the complexities of fulfillment and international freight programs, including new initiatives such as full and less-than-container-load ocean shipments and air freight, translating technical details into accessible, user-friendly content.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX designers, subject matter experts, business development, account management, and marketing teams, to gather information and ensure content remains accurate, consistent, and up to date as programs evolve.
  • Regularly review and update existing content to reflect changes in fulfillment programs, policies, and procedures, ensuring sellers always have the most relevant and reliable information.
  • Coordinate with translation teams to provide support for international sellers, ensuring content is effectively localized and accessible to all users.
  • Apply UX writing principles by assisting with final reviews from UX writers, ensuring content is intuitive and user-friendly.

Must-Have Qualifications
  • Proven experience in support content writing, preferably within the e-commerce or logistics industry, with a focus on educating users about complex systems or processes.
  • Ability to ingest and understand large quantities of detailed information, then express that information in a simple, encouraging, and approachable way.
  • Demonstrated experience in crafting user-centric content that simplifies complex concepts and guides users through step-by-step instructions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
  • Experience writing content at an 8th-grade reading level or lower, with localization in mind for translation into multiple languages.
