In a remote work setting, our Licensed Mental Health Counselor will enjoy the flexibility of creating a work-life balance while having access to a fully supportive clinical team. Regular business hours, from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensure that our counselors can engage fully with patients while maintaining personal time for recuperation and leisure.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mood disorder symptoms, gauging severity, frequency, and duration.
• Collaborate with clients to form individualized treatment plans that prioritize their specific needs, goals, and preferences.
• Employ evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to assist clients in their healing journey.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, effective treatment options, and strategies for self-care, fostering a supportive therapeutic environment.
• Monitor clients' progress continuously throughout treatment, adapting plans based on their evolving needs and responses to therapy.
• Work closely with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to ensure a coordinated, comprehensive care strategy for each client.
• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in mood disorder treatment to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, adhering to all legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities to refine treatment methodologies and enhance clinical skills.
• Advocate for the destigmatization of mental health issues and actively promote the mental health needs of clients in the community.

• A Master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LCMFT in the state of Kansas.
• Proven expertise in implementing treatment modalities such as CBT and DBT, focusing on mood disorders.
• Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and a collaborative approach to working with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and their families.
• Sound understanding of legal and ethical practices in mental health counseling.

• Prior experience providing remote therapy services and familiarity with telehealth platforms.
• A background in community health settings or outpatient clinics, demonstrating adaptability to diverse client populations.
• Participating in continuous education and training related to emerging trends in mental health treatment.
