Position Overview

Positive Perspectives Counseling Center is seeking compassionate and skilled Mental Health Therapists to fill full-time remote positions within our outpatient psychiatric practice. As an integral member of our team, you will provide therapeutic support to individuals facing various mental health challenges, ensuring they receive effective and personalized treatment tailored to their specific needs.

Our team of licensed professionals specializes in treating a diverse range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, and substance use disorders. We prioritize evidence-based practices and focus on developing collaborative relationships with our patients, assisting them on their journey toward recovery.

Work Environment

This position offers a fully remote work setting, allowing therapists the flexibility to manage their schedules efficiently while providing high-quality care to clients. While our practice accommodates a versatile working arrangement, sessions will primarily occur during standard business hours, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Adherence to patient needs may require some flexibility in scheduling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive mental health assessments to accurately identify the needs of each patient and formulate individualized treatment plans.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, to conduct sessions for individuals, couples, and families.
  • Lead psychoeducational and support groups, fostering community and understanding among participants dealing with similar mental health issues.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other multi-disciplinary team members to ensure cohesive and holistic care for patients.
  • Provide crisis intervention services to assist clients in urgent mental health situations, using de-escalation techniques and immediate support strategies.
  • Educate patients regarding their mental health conditions, treatment alternatives, and available community resources, empowering them with knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in line with legal and ethical standards, utilizing advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development by participating in team meetings, case consultations, and continuing education opportunities to refine therapy skills.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current and valid licensure in the state of Tennessee as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW is a must.
  • Strong understanding of various mental health disorders, evidence-based therapeutic techniques, and intervention strategies.
  • Demonstrated capability to conduct thorough mental health assessments and create effective, individualized treatment plans.
  • Experience providing individual and group therapy in diverse settings is essential, with an emphasis on culturally competent practices.
