Position Overview

Positive Perspectives Counseling Center is seeking qualified and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselors to join our dedicated team in Clarksville, Tennessee. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify individual client needs and collaboratively develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to support clients in their recovery journeys.
  • Lead psychoeducational support groups that foster a sense of community while addressing prevalent mental health issues.
  • Participate in cross-disciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other therapeutic staff to ensure comprehensive and cohesive care for clients.
  • Provide crisis intervention services when necessary, assisting clients through urgent mental health challenges.
  • Educate clients on their mental health conditions and the treatment options available, as well as resources within the community.
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation following legal, ethical, and organizational guidelines.
  • Engage in continuous learning by attending professional development events, workshops, and conferences to keep current with best practices in mental health treatment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client population is diverse, encompassing individuals across various age groups, socioeconomic statuses, and cultural backgrounds. As a mental health counselor, you will work with clients struggling with a wide range of mental health concerns, providing individualized support that respects their unique life experiences. Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Tennessee.
  • A strong understanding of mental health disorders, effective therapeutic techniques, and evidence-based treatment approaches.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and create effective, individualized treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to relate to a diverse patient population.
  • Sound judgment with respect to professional ethics and patient confidentiality.
  • Ability to navigate electronic health record (EHR) systems confidently.
  • Competency in collaborative teamwork with other healthcare professionals.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience providing therapy to various age groups and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with group therapy dynamics and psychoeducational program facilitation.
  • Involvement in community outreach programs aimed at mental health awareness and education.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is competitive, ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 yearly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
