Western Regional Sales Manager – SPI Lighting (Corporate Headquarters, Mequon, WI)

Key Responsibilities
  • Regional Strategy & Growth: Execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and exceed regional revenue and profitability targets.
  • Channel Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, lighting distributors, electrical wholesalers, contractors, architects, and engineering firms.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and inform product strategy.
  • Sales Forecasting: Accurately forecast regional sales, manage pipeline, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to executive leadership within marketing and new product development. 
  • Product Expertise: Maintain deep technical knowledge of our lighting product portfolio (e.g., LED, controls, commercial/industrial fixtures) to effectively support the sales team.

Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 – 7 years of progressive outside sales experience within the lighting, electrical, or related construction/building materials industry.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of lighting technology, applications, distribution channels, and sales cycles is mandatory.
  • Business Acumen: Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to manage budgets and analyze sales performance data.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Travel: Ability and willingness to travel frequently (estimated 75%) throughout the assigned territory.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
